EMT-RCR Campact Antenna Test Range


A compact antenna test range (CATR) can be used for far-field measurements of large antennas. It uses a large parabolic reflector to project a small radiation source into the far-field. Multiple feed systems can be used to improve far-field performance.

1, the compact range system performs as a far-field measurement system, but it can measure large antennas at shorter distances.

Its minimum operating frequency is determined by the size of reflector, edge processing technique, and wave absorbers.

Two roll-edge reflectors can bue used together to achieve higher accuracy for special applications (such as extremely accurate low-frequency sidelobe measurements).

Shielding room is optional.

The performance of CATR is determined by the manufacturing accuracy of the field system.

Considering the size of the high-frequency antenna, the maximum frequency can be extended to as high as 300 thousand MHz.

The frequency range of the CATR system can be  improved by the accuracy of reflector.

2, the RF launch / receive system supports a VNA. Depending on the size of the range, amplifiers may be required. Some of these frequencies require remote mixing mode to avoid the loss of RF cable at higher frequencies. Dual polarized and multi-channel DUT can be handled by optional RF switches and high speed switching controllers.

3, data acquisition workstation is equipped with data acquisition and data analysis software, these two software are powerful data acquisition and data analysis tools.
